Eau Claire's Great Outdoors: February 2026 Newsletter

Hello Outdoor Partners!

February can feel like a long stretch of winter, but it’s also a good time to switch things up. Even when the cold lingers, this is the month when trying something new can make a big difference. Whether that’s learning how maple syrup is made, giving cross-country skiing or crokicurl a shot, or opting for a warm, indoor take on the outdoors like nature trivia at The Brewing Projekt, there are plenty of ways to stay connected to the season without fully giving in to the cold just yet.

This month is also about looking ahead. We’re sharing a few opportunities that help set our outdoor community up for exciting spring energy, including the DIY Economic Impact Program through the Wisconsin Office of Outdoor Recreation, which helps communities better understand and tell the story of outdoor recreation’s impact. A little learning and planning now goes a long way once spring finally shows up, we all warm up a bit, and it's go-time once again.

See you out there!
