A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Town Hall at 7:00 PM. Notice was posted at the Beaver Creek Reserve, Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- Seymour, Gordy’s County Market and at www.townofseymour.orgunder “Agendas.”
Board members present were Douglas Kranig, Chair; Sheila Running, Supervisor; and Gary Schulenberg, Supervisor. Also present was Miranda Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer; Sue Larson, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer; Fred Hankel, Building Inspector; and six area residents.
Chair Kranig called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Supervisor Schulenberg made a Motion to approve the October 6th Board Meeting minutes as presented. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
Fred Hankel, Building Inspector, gave report. Hankel indicated that two dwellings in the Town of Seymour had been demolished. Hankel also brought to the Board’s attention that some homeowners have signed for a building permit for the homeowners to do the work themselves, but then a non-licensed contractor is doing the work. Hankel agreed to research the matter further.
Darren Zias, Lorna Zias, and Ricky Coehn, residents of 1501 Peterson Avenue in the Town of Seymour, attended and spoke in opposition to the removal of the second driveway on Books Drive.
Lisa Aspenson and John Mogenson came before the Board to discuss a Conditional Use Permit Application to construct a 2.400 square foot greenhouse on their property at 795 Rork Avenue. Chair Kranig made a Motion to send a letter to the County Planning and Development Department not objecting to the construction of a 2,400 square foot greenhouse (hoop house) at 795 Rork
Avenue, with a contingency that Lisa Aspenson provide written statements from her neighbors, adjoining and across the street, not objecting to the construction of the greenhouse. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
Supervisor Running made a Motion to approve Resolution 2014-03, “Authorizing the Use of Special Registration Deputies for Elections.” Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
2015 Budget work session was completed.

Chair Kranig made a Motion to adjourn at 8:30 PM.
