A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Town Hall.  Notice was posted at Beaver Creek Reserve, Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- Seymour, Gordy’s County Market and at www.townofseymour.orgunder “Agendas”.

Board members present were Douglas Kranig, Chair; Sheila Running, Supervisor; and Gary Schulenberg, Supervisor.  Also present was Miranda Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer; Sue Larson, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer; and 7 area residents.

Chair Kranig called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Supervisor Schulenberg made a Motion to approve the August 4th Board Meeting minutes as presented.  Supervisor Running Seconded.  Motion carried 3-0.

Miranda Hoffman, Clerk/Treasurer, gave the financial report.

GENERAL PUBLIC:

OLD BUSINESS:  

Supervisor Schulenberg made a Motion to approve the Archery Hunting Permit for Karen Carey at 4712 Olson Drive. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.

Supervisor Running made a Motion to approve the Archery Hunting Permit for Tom Pickerign at 4711 Burnell Drive. Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS:

Wanda Stackhouse and Mark Stackhouse came before the Board to discuss a potential rezone at 14624 St. Bridget Dr., Cadott, WI 54727. Chair Kranig made a Motion to oppose the rezone as proposed at 14624 St. Bridget Dr., Cadott, WI 54727. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 2-1.

Michael Helland came before the Board to discuss a Conditional Use Permit Application to construct a 1,440 square foot detached pole building on his property at 2430 Peterson Avenue. Chair Kranig made a Motion to send a letter to the County Planning and Development Department not objecting to the construction of a 1,440 square food detached pole building at 2430 Peterson Avenue. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.

Two area residents came before the Board to discuss the numbering of addresses on W North Shore Drive. The Town Board agreed to purchase and post a sign that would resolve some of the confusion that residents are having on W North Shore Drive.

Supervisor Running made a Motion to approve the Timber Sales Agreement with Bell Timber, Inc. and the Town of Seymour for a period not to exceed 18 months. Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0. See Attached.

Supervisor Running made a Motion to approve the Asphaltic Chip Seal Surfacing Agreement with Scott Construction, Inc. for 135th Avenue for the amount of $3,995.00. Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.

Hall rental contract was discussed.

COMMUNICATIONS

The next regular board meeting date was set for Monday, September 8, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.

Supervisor Running made a Motion to adjourn at 8:35 p.m.

The minutes were taken at the Board Meeting of the Town of Seymour held on the 18th day of August, 2014 and entered this Record Book the 19th day of August, 2014.
