A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held on April 6, 2010, at the Town Hall. Notice was posted at Beaver Creek Reserve, Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1 - Seymour, Gordy’s County Market, and at www.townofseymour.org under “Agendas”.
Board members present were Douglas Kranig, Chair; Sheila Running, Supervisor; and Gary Schulenberg, Supervisor. Also present was Glenda Lyons, Clerk/Treasurer; and Jo-Ann Martin, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer; Kerry Parker, Roads and Buildings Supervisor; and 11 general public.
Chair Kranig called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Supervisor Schulenberg made a Motion to approve the Minutes of the Board Meeting held March 30, 2010 with one correction. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
Glenda Lyons, Clerk/Treasurer presented March 2010 financials.
GENERAL PUBLIC –Neil Dutter spoke in regards to a letter he received in the mail about encroachments in the right of way. Danette Hankel also spoke on the topic as did a few other residents. The Board agreed to put the topic on the May 4th, 2010 agenda for further discussion.
OLD BUSINESS – Chair Kranig made a Motion to approve the Turkey hunting permit for William Markowski. Supervisor Running Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
Chair Kranig made a Motion for Xcel Energy to discontinue 10 lights and install 1 on McClaflin Ave, on top of the hill. Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS – CUP - none
Chair Kranig made a Motion to award the asphalt projects #1,2,3,4,6 & 7 to Allied Blacktop as low bidder. Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.
Supervisor Running made a Motion to award Base course to Stelter Inc. at $9.00/yd and to award Milling/Grinding to The Kraemer Company at $4,198/mile and to award Crack sealing to American, provided they have good references, for $4,152 and to award Chip sealing to Scott Construction, Inc for $5,161. These are all for projects #1,2,3,4,6 & 7 as presented by Kerry Parker.
Supervisor Schulenberg Seconded. Motion Carried 3-0.

Project #2 is Johnson Ct
Project #3 is 42nd Ave
Project #4 is McClaflin Ave
Project #5 is 77th Ave and was not awarded yet
Project #6 is Sunrise Dr
Project #7 is 140th Ave
Project #8 is 150th Ave. This will be awarded in July; it is a prevailing wage and trip funded project
