Town of Seymour Ordinance No. 15-01, entitled, ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE
The Town Board of the Town of Seymour, Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, adopted the Town of Seymour Ordinance No. 15-01, “ Animal Control Ordinance” at their Town Board Meeting on October 13, 2015.
Summary of Ordinance: The purpose of the ordinance is to regulate and control dogs, cats and other animals with the limits of the Town and to safeguard and protect property and the general public and to provide regulations to prevent cruelty to all animals. Some of the main topics addressed in the ordinance are as follows:
Section 7 - Animal Nuisances
Section 8 - Identifies prohibited animals and species
Section 9 - Limitations on number of dogs in residential zoning districts
Section 10 – Kennel License Requirements
Section 14 – Dangerous and Vicious Animals
Section 18-27 – Licensing Requirements
Section 28 – Enforcement, Penalties and Fees
